The Cernuschi Museum (Paris 8th), or Museum of Asian Arts, displays collections of art from China and other Asian civilizations including Vietnam, Japan and Korea.

Situated in the quiet Parc Monceau the architecture of the museum is itself remarkable.

The entrance to the permanent collections is free.

Nissim de Camondo Museum

The Nissim de Camondo Museum is dedicated to French decorative art of the second half of the 18th century. It is housed in a beautiful mansion dating from the Belle Epoque (1911), in the Monceau district (Paris 8^th).

A visit to the museum is an opportunity to discover the collection of eighteenth century masterpieces including paintings, tapestries, furniture, porcelain, silverware … – as well as to understand how a private town mansion functioned at the beginning of the twentieth century .

Designed for the 1937 World’s Fair, the Palace of Discovery (Palais de la Découverte, Paris 16th) has as its aim to make science accessible to all.

This educational museum, particularly well designed for young people, presents about fifty scientific experiments every day in the 6 areas of the basic sciences : astronomy, chemistry, geosciences, mathematics, physics, life sciences.

Petit Palais – Fine Arts

Built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, the “Petit Palais” (Paris 8th) has a painted and sculpted décor, mosaics and stained glass windows which constitute an exceptional decorative ensemble of the first third of the 20th century.

The building houses the Museum of Fine Arts which presents works of Western art, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts etc. dating from antiquity to the early twentieth century.

Entrance to the permanent collections of the museum is free.

Jacquemart-André Museum

The museum (Paris 8th), built between 1869 and 1876, was the wealthy home of a collector couple, Edouard André and Nélie Jacquemart.

Their exceptional collections, acquired during their many travels in Italy and the Middle East, make it an exceptional place both because of the sumptuousness of the decor and because of the quality of the art works, particularly the Italian works from the fourteenth to the sixteenth century.

Jean-Jacques Henner Museum

The museum is dedicated to the work of Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905), a regional artist from Alsace, portraitist, and an adept of a very personal symbolism.
The visit highlights two themes : the career of an artist in the nineteenth century and the painter’s studio which illustrates how Henner worked.

The museum is housed in a 19th century mansion which presents an eclectic interior decor and a winter garden.
