The PHONO Museum (Paris 9th) provides an opportunity to discover the great adventure of recorded sound, from 1857 up to the present day.

Through nearly 300 vintage and working machines as well as posters and photographs of artists, the Museum evokes the various stages of the technological developments of recorded sound.

Opened in 2010 on the site of a former 1920s dance hall, the BAL is a place for exhibitions, publishing and pedagogy dedicated to the contemporary image in all its forms : photography, video, film and the new media are presented and debated.

The cultural center of Halle Saint-Pierre is an original place dedicated to “outsider art” or ” art brut” that promotes the most heterodox expressions of art.

As much a living space as a museum, Halle Saint-Pierre receives temporary exhibitions lasting six months to a year.
It is also equipped with a bookshop and a café-restaurant.

Close to the Sacré-Coeur, it is a surprising place that is full of energy!
