Gaîté lyrique

La Gaîté Lyrique is a cultural center dedicated to digital and multimedia art.

It’s also a place where one can eat and drink at the bar, study at the resource center, visit an exhibition, listen to a concert, participate in a workshop, attend a screening… a friendly place to share digital cultures.

Zadkine Museum

The Zadkine Museum is an artist-house museum dedicated to the memory and work of the Russian-born sculptor Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967). He lived in the house and worked in the studio that can all be visited, as well as the garden.

The permanent collection is presented in the museum rooms, the garden and the studio.

Free entry outside exhibition dates.

Jeu de Paume

Located in the Tuileries Garden, the “Jeu de Paume” hosts exhibitions of photography, cinema, video, and installations from the 19th to the 21st century.

The building was built in 1862 during the reign of Napoleon III to house courts for playing “real tennis”, the ancestor of modern tennis.

Maillol Museum

The visit to the Maillol museum (Paris 7th) includes the collection of works by the great sculptor Aristide Maillol and the temporary exhibition dedicated to a great name of modern or contemporary art.

The museum’s programming includes two major annual exhibitions.

The museum is closed outside the temporary exhibitions.

Swedish Institut

Right in the Marais district, the Hotel de Marle houses the Swedish Institute. This magnificent building, begun at the end of the 16th century, overlooks a nice garden at the back.

The Institute offers exhibitions and cultural activities of Swedish artists.

Pavillon Carré de Baudouin

Located at the corner of rue des Pyrénées and rue de Ménilmontant, the Pavillon Carré de Baudoin (PCB) is the most important cultural space in the 20th district of Paris.

The Pavilion Carré de Baudoin offers exhibitions and conferences free of charge.

You can also see urban art murals displayed on its outside wall.

Centquatre

Created in 2008, the Centquatre (Le 104) is an enormous artistic and cultural venue that has quickly become an institution.
Theatre, visual art, dance, music… it gives access to all of today’s art, through a contemporary programme.

Always lively, it is a very stimulating place to go and see a performance, a show or an exhibition, or simply to have a drink or a bite to eat and to stroll through the different areas.

Le Plateau

The Plateau – FRAC Ile-de-France (Regional Fund for Contemporary Art) has for over thirty years sought to establish a representative collection of contemporary French and international artworks.

It was inaugurated in 2002, and many exhibitions are free.

Le BAL

Opened in 2010 on the site of a former 1920s dance hall, the BAL is a place for exhibitions, publishing and pedagogy dedicated to the contemporary image in all its forms : photography, video, film and the new media are presented and debated.

The BAL also runs an educational platform, La Fabrique du Regard (Factory of the Eye).
