The Museum is the place to discover the history of cinema, also known as the Seventh art. It contains a selection of objects and archives dating from the early days of cinema through the present.
There are interesting temporary exhibitions and a broad program of international film screenings and retrospectives.

The Museum of Cinema is in the French Cinematheque, in a building designed by Frank Gehry, in the Bercy Park.

Jeu de Paume

Located in the Tuileries Garden, the “Jeu de Paume” hosts exhibitions of photography, cinema, video, and installations from the 19th to the 21st century.

The building was built in 1862 during the reign of Napoleon III to house courts for playing “real tennis”, the ancestor of modern tennis.

Centquatre

Created in 2008, the Centquatre (Le 104) is an enormous artistic and cultural venue that has quickly become an institution.
Theatre, visual art, dance, music… it gives access to all of today’s art, through a contemporary programme.

Always lively, it is a very stimulating place to go and see a performance, a show or an exhibition, or simply to have a drink or a bite to eat and to stroll through the different areas.

Le BAL

Opened in 2010 on the site of a former 1920s dance hall, the BAL is a place for exhibitions, publishing and pedagogy dedicated to the contemporary image in all its forms : photography, video, film and the new media are presented and debated.

The BAL also runs an educational platform, La Fabrique du Regard (Factory of the Eye).

Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation

The Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation (Paris 13th), celebrates a century of cinema through a gallery presenting 150 cinematographic devices and exhibitions as well as screenings of silent films in the Charles Pathé room.

Behind the facade sculpted by Rodin around 1869, the architect Renzo Piano built an astonishing contemporary building in which the Foundation is housed.

Youssef Chahine

Exposition Youssef Chahine à la cinémathèque française – musée du cinéma (Paris 12e), du 14 novembre 2018 au 28 juillet 2019.

À l’occasion du dixième anniversaire de sa disparition, l’exposition rend hommage à Youssef Chahine, cinéaste égyptien à la croisée des cultures orientale et occidentale. Une rétrospective en 12 films accompagne l’exposition.
