The Archaeological Crypt (Paris 4^th) presents a panorama of the urban and architectural development of the “Ile de la Cité”, the historic heart of Paris. It shows how the city has constantly been rebuilt over a period of more than two thousand years.

The crypt was built in 1980 under the esplanade of Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Because of the catastrophic Notre-Dame fire, the Archaeological Crypt is temporarily closed.

Smoker’s Museum

The Smoker’s Museum (Paris 11e) illustrates a practice which is still prevalent on all the world’s continents: smoking. The museum space presents on a human scale, objects, plants and works from all continents and eras including a dryer containing long tobacco leaves.

A portrait gallery shows the changing image of tobacco and smokers, both in culture and time.

Come and discover the Adam Mickiewicz Museum – Polish Library, (Paris 4th), a small and very unusual Parisian museum

The museum exhibits the work of the Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz (1798 – 1855) along with that of other great Polish artists such as Frédéric Chopin and Boleslas Biegas. The Museum displays manuscripts, objects, books and paintings that belonged to these personalities.
