The Memorial, which is the first Shoah research center in Europe, is also a museum. The visit traces the history of the Jews of France during the Shoah, through the interweaving of individual histories and the collective history of the period.

The museum has a permanent exhibition and two temporary exhibitions each year to which access is free.
